Aimee Whatling

Aimee joined the database team in IGI Ltd in 2023. She is trained in petroleum geochemistry, having completed an MSc in Petroleum Geochemistry at Newcastle University in 2007. She then spent nine years working as a petroleum systems analyst before turning her focus more specifically to geochemistry data. This progressed to a wider interest in the management of data during the transition to net zero and the challenges this will bring. She is focussed on understanding these challenges and how data management could be developed for the energy transition and beyond.

Outside of work, Aimee loves to spend time with her family and enjoys crafting, walks in the countryside and upcycling.
